So, I read a book Tuesday. Yes, an entire book. I finally got around to reading The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks. He and I have a love/hate relationship. {He doesn't know this, of course.} When bad things happen to good people, I hate him. When love wins, I love him. By Tuesday night, I hated him. That's all I'll say incase you haven't read the book. Yesterday morning, I started reading the memoir he wrote with his brother, Three Weeks with My Brother. Y'all... I sat on the couch and had three cups of coffee while reading. THREE! I am loving this book! I'm half-way finished. BUT I hate when I get into a book... simply because I finish it so quickly!
This is totally how I feel toward the end of some books. A little ridiculous? Maybe. Do you all have any book suggestions? Anything that is a must read? I'm still working my way through Teach Like a Pirate. I'm heading up to my brother's in VA in a few minutes. The 150 pages I have left in Three Weeks with My Brother will not last me! Thanks in advance! :)
I'm not really a Nicholas Sparks fan but I feel the same way about books. Here are a couple that I have read lately that I enjoyed:
ReplyDeletePercy Jackson; The Lightening Theif, The Heist (Janet Evanovich), Tapestry of Fortunes (Elizabeth Berg), Divergent (Veronica Roth), and Sealed with A Kiss (Racheal Lucas).
It's a pretty wide range of books. I'll read just about anything.
Ms. Kerri and her Krazy Klass
I know what you mean about getting into a book. Sometimes when I'm really into a book, I don't want to read it because I don't want it to be over. It's silly, but it's true.
ReplyDeleteI have the same love/hate relationship with Mr. Sparks! Why does he do that?!?! :)
